Sometimes broad "out of the box " thinking let us see beyond , what is visible now.
These days 3G and BWA auctions are most talked about phenomenon due to their
sky rocketing prices, we all are thinking what the hell is going on , are TELCOS getting
over hyped !.
Two years back IPL auctions took place and same hype was seen and people were saying
that those CEO were paying "for what ?", now their teams are worth multiple of what they
had paid then.
Maybe, Telcos are "buying an assett called spectrum just like any property for longterm " and are not "spending on something "
Most imp. thing is that these guys are backed by "smart bankers" for payment of 3G lic. fee. Bankers do not fund any thing which they think is risky.
